Are you an ambitious Operational Risk Manager with a passion for enhancing risk governance frameworks? Are you looking to join an expanding, global team?

We have an outstanding opportunity for you to join our Legal Entity Risk Governance & Insights team, part of our Operational Risk & Governance team. You will take on a key role in the 2nd Line of Defence, supporting our European regulated legal entities demonstrate sound risk governance.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Legal Entity Risk Governance - support the design and operation of risk standards that connect our Group wide risk management expectations and accountabilities to our Legal Entity requirements, whilst maintaining the Legal entities' risk management frameworks, risk appetites and reporting.
  • Operational Risk Capital - support the design and operation of operational risk scenarios for legal entities in the region, working closely with our Operational Risk Capital colleagues, business owners and risk subject matter experts. Design and co-ordination of the non-financial risk scenario assessments for our Internal Capital Adequacy Assessments Process.

With a wide range of both risk governance and operational risk responsibilities across, you will need to be able to work flexibly, learn and adapt dynamically in a complex environment. Inherent will be the opportunity to develop skills and influence approaches locally and globally. To be successful you will also need to be able to effectively build relationships, and communicate with, a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management across multiple locations.

You will bring with you understanding of corporate governance best practices, ideally with at the legal entity level, solid understanding of Operational Risk Management frameworks and their toolkits (e.g., RCSA, and Scenario analysis), working knowledge of other risk management approaches, and have experience in risk reporting.

Furthermore, knowledge of statistics and the ability to analyse data, with an interest in quantitative problem solving, is a must. Your recent and relevant experience in regulatory capital, ICAAPs and/or regulatory change projects would prove advantageous.

We require risk assessment across a broad range of business types, so the ability to learn new concepts fast is key to be successful in your role.

The Risk Management Group (RMG) is an independent, centralised unit responsible for ensuring all risk across Macquarie are appropriately assessed and managed.
