My client in South West London is currently looking for an Occupational Therapist with Mental Health based experience.
The suitable candidates will need;
To care coordinate a caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence based /client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
To provide leadership for junior staff, through supervision and appraisal.
To participate in the planning, development and evaluation of OT services within the Community Team, holding responsibility for defined projects.
To offer OT intervention for the team caseload, being responsible for completing standardised assessments / manualised interventions as agreed by senior professional lead.
To contribute to the development of the OT specific role in the service
To regularly supervise OT students on practice placement
To contribute to streamline working from admission to discharge in keeping with the principles in the Adult Services Recovery Care pathway.
To promote recovery and social inclusion.
To act as the designated 'Disability Champion' leading the multi-disciplinary team in Disability Equality matters within the service and other areas as required.
As an Occupational Therapist, you will have a role within a multidisciplinary team and you will expected
to have experience conducting assessments and tailoring treatment plans to the patients' needs.
You must have the below requirements to work as a Occupational Therapist:
• BSc OT or DIP COT
• Full HCPC registration
• Experience of working as an Occupational Therapist
• High standards in written and oral communication
