Stuart Low Trust - Finance Manager (4 hours per week). Stuart Low Trust (SLT) is a well-established, multi-award winning charity based in Islington, London. Through social activities we bring people together for better health and wellbeing. Many of our participants have a history of mental ill health, poverty and social isolation. Islington has an above average suicide rate, with the highest numbers of severe mental health and depression in London.We are seeking an enthusiastic Finance Manager to lead our finance function. Successful and substantial charity financial management experience, using accounting software packages at reporting level, and the ability to present complex financial information to non-finance staff and trustees, are key. You will be responsible for ensuring SLT is compliant and financially robust, so we have the ability to scale up our activity programmes and achieve our strategic plans. On starting, you will be tasked with setting up and managing a cloud accounting package for SLT.This will be a stimulating and enjoyable role for the right candidate, working within a small but highly dynamic, dedicated team. We seek a motivated candidate with meticulous attention to detail, who will thrive on this challenge. If you have the skills and knowledge detailed below, with a proven track record in a voluntary sector setting, this could be the role for you.We offer £22 per hour (gross), flexible working (office and from home), excellent holiday entitlement and a contributory occupational pension scheme. SLT will consider a self-employed Finance Manager if that is preferable.
