Our client is seeking an IT Assistant who will provide 1st line Administration of the companies users, providing
both telephone and desk side support to users primarily at their Head Office. The role also encompasses complete responsibility for configuration, Control, allocation, distribution and recording of Laptops, PCs and 4G Dongles.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing telephone support in response to support tickets to deliver 1st/2nd line solutions to users across all sites. This includes the initial investigation of all calls some being resolved by post holder some being escalated
  • Providing 1st/2nd desk side support to office users. This in involves the initial investigation of all support calls on a face to face basis within the office
  • Configuration and installation and troubleshooting of IT Hardware. Equipment includes Laptops, desktop PCs, Printers, desktop phones, 4G dongles
  • Tasks include: configuration, recording in Asset Database, Distribution and training
  • Administration of network user and email accounts. Modification of email distribution lists, file permissions etc
  • Management of Citrix farm. This involves the monitoring and resolution of issues of the 4 servers that underpin the Citrix Farm.
  • Travel to and configuration of IT equipment and training of users at remote sites

Skills/Attributes/Experience:
  • Experience in a similar position is ESSENTIAL
  • Previous experience maintaining PCs
  • Proficient typing skills
  • Experience of a range of computer hardware
  • Experience of Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of computer cloning software
