Are you a Teacher looking flexible working during term-time?

Do you have Secondary classroom experience and available for Cover Supervising?

REED Education in Oxford are supporting a large secondary Academy in North Oxfordshire, who are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor staring immediately through to Christmas initially on a supply contract basis. This position is 5 days/week during core school hours 08:30-15:30 to support with classroom cover during Teaching absences.

Can you explain difficult things in a simple way? Do you have the patience, creativity, and communication skills to encourage learners of all ability levels to flourish?

This is an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to develop their career as a teacher in the future or perhaps a Teaching professional looking for work life balance currently.

An outline of a typical Cover Supervisor Day will involve:

• To carry out pre-prepared exercises when teaching staff are absent from the classroom (normally the absent teacher will have left some notes for you to follow and deliver to the class)

• You will manage the classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set

• You will not teach any form of lesson but will leave handover notes for when the class teacher returns.

• You will cover lessons of all subjects

Although you do not require any specific qualifications to be a Cover Supervisor, you do need transferable skills, such as: good written and communication skills, the ability to form strong relationships, patience and excellent organisation.
