Senior Regional Investment Manager (North West, Public Sector)
This role of Senior Regional Investment Manager sits within the Investment Opportunities & Propositions function, reporting into the Head of Regional Investment. This is a blended team, comprised of a small number of civil servants and specialist contractors, working closely with colleagues across the Investment directorate as well as the department more broadly.
The Regional Investment team is recruiting for Senior Regional Investment Managers for the Northern Powerhouse (West)
Regional Investment Managers play a critical role in building and maintaining investment opportunities promoted through the compendium of investment opportunities - which showcases the best the UK has to offer to owners of internationally mobile capital.
Maintain and establish regional and sectoral relationships:
Maintain existing and build new relationships with senior contacts at private sector developers, promoters, corporations and local partners in the region to identify investible opportunities suitable for international investors.
Cooperate and work in partnership with all stakeholders including, for example: industry, trade bodies, Government Departments and public agencies, Devolved Administrations, directly elected Mayors, Combined Authorities, Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs), Local Authorities, and local placemaking organisations.
Be effective in this role by leveraging existing private and public sector networks as well as building new relationships.
Deliver and share intelligence and insight relative to their specialism - enabling investable propositions to be brought forward for promotion, persuading investors to invest in the UK
Maintain current project pipeline through regular contact and updates on progress with investible opportunities; identify new investible opportunities for promotion via the compendium of investment opportunities and raise awareness of the department's role in supporting inward investment and economic growth.
Align investment opportunity sourcing and promotion with cross Government priorities.
Support investor engagement and opportunity promotion:
Collaborate closely with the Regions and Trade Hub teams (as relevant), joining up on strategy development and alignment on stakeholder engagement in the regions.
Develop, in collaboration with the Regions and Trade Hub teams (as relevant) and investor relations colleagues, an engagement and promotion plan for the region of focus - and specific priority investment opportunities within.
Help to attract investment into investment opportunities in the region of focus by supporting investor relations colleagues in promotion and engagement activity with international investors.
Undertake regular formal meetings with investor relations colleagues.
Support provision of advice to investors on the region of focus.
Incorporate investor intelligence to develop investible opportunities/projects requested by priority markets.
This role is 3 days a week, remote working for the foreseeable.
BPSS Clearance is required.
