IT Project Manager - £38k
You will be assisting with the delivery of high quality, robust, resilient, responsive, and secure IT Projects that provide customer focused solutions that support the delivery of improved services and will be expected to work closely with the PMO on a day-to-day basis assisting with the delivery of core PMO functionality and assisting on a range of small to medium sized projects.
Working with other project managers you will support small, medium, and strategic sized IT projects contributing towards ensuring they are delivered to quality, on time and within budget and assist with the development and implementation of technical solutions and changes to working practices and processes.
Roles & Responsibilities
*Lead and be accountable for successful management of one or more projects; projects may relate business process/organisational development and/or technology solution implementation across infrastructure and applications.
*Establish clear understanding and involvement of key stakeholders developing excellent working relationships managing customer expectations with colleagues.
*Working within established project structures, processes and governance using the industry-standard Prince 2 methodology; maintain project compliance with relevant legal, statutory and audit requirements.
*Accountable for the delivery of projects within scope, time, quality, and cost with specific responsibility for project budgets using industry best practice methodologies to deliver project goals and value for money across IT Services.
*Produce high quality project collateral and be familiar with project governance quality gates to progress projects satisfactorily to senior stakeholders.
*Work within the Change Control Process to ensure that any changes are managed correctly and that the full impact and risks are known before any such change is implemented.
*Develop a clear understanding of full cost of services for accuracy of charging, undertaking benchmarking and reviewing options to ensure a cost effective, competitive service is delivered
*Support effective technology and service operational functions in line with ITIL best practice e.g., service strategy, design, transition, operations, and continuous service improvement.
*Produce and agree a benefits realisation plan detailing clear ownership of the benefits metrics.
*Manage resources in a matrix environment (people, processes, departments, and tools) effectively to ensure that projects have sufficient skills and tools required to ensure the success of projects.
*Ensure adherence to policies, risk frameworks, IT general controls, compliance matters and key audits.
*Ensure adherence to IT security best practice, standards, and policies
