The Main Responsibilities
Develop and Maintain EMEA (SHEQ) strategic plan
Undertake such team management activities to ensure the EMEA team perform at an optimum level
Ensure that a Focal point for impact analysis of new Network Rail documentation is established and maintained.
Provide education and training to staff and promote staff awareness in both general health safety and Rail related matters.
Ensure that Lumen - Europe responsibilities on Rail safety are effectively discharged.
Ensure audits internal and external are carried out in respect of SHE (Q) Management systems. Pay particular reference to RISQS Module audit to ensure Lumen rights to sponsor PTS certification and gain access to Network Rail Operational Infrastructure
Assist in the co-ordination activities in support of meeting legal compliance with UK Health & Safety Legislation, in particular: First Aid Training and Display Screen Equipment assessments, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety).
Assist and support Director Safety Health and Environment as required
Support Bid Management in PQQ completion
Act as local point of contact for Risk Management (Insurance) team
To "Safeguard" the interests and "Rights" of Lumen - Europe granted by Network Rail under the Deed of Grant of Easement agreement, 1st April 1994 Ensure that such rights are protected

NEBOSH Diploma, Chartered member of IOSH
Post is key to ensuring that Lumen Europe, meets the safety obligations to Network Rail in respect of working within the Rail environment and complies with relevant statutory Health and Safety regulations. instructions and relevant legislation. The post holder should have an additional basic qualification in environmental Management and Quality Assurance. Appreciation of mainland Europe Safety requirements.
