The purpose of this role is to deliver high quality, supportive and engaging qualifications to candidates enrolled onto funded programmes.
The position holder will engage and support a caseload of around 50 learners both in a remote and face to face setting, so to achieve qualifications in a timely manner by providing meaningful teaching/learning and assessment sessions, conducting regular formal progress reviews and following the delivery guideline.
The position holder will be delivering Functional and Employability Skills training as part of the overall framework. The candidate must have good understanding/experience in conducting initial assessments and progress reviews, be able to embed Functional Skills, British Values and Prevent throughout the teaching. Be able to teach the young people the importance of safeguarding and equality and diversity and finally be able to conduct pipeline mock testing and arranging final exams/tests.
The position holder is expected to take full responsibility for own caseload, engage and retain learners, and meet performance targets as set by the line manage

A) Minimum 2 years teaching experience - Desirable
B) Relevant QCF Assessor and Verifier qualifications - e.g., D32/A1 Assessor - Desirable
C) Experience in teaching Functional Skills and Employability qualifications - Essential
D) Experienced with conflict management and helping those who may not always be easy to reach - Essential
E) Functional Skills Level 2 for Maths or English or GCSE Maths and English A-C - Essential
F) Excellent communication, teamwork and organisation skills - Essential
G) Experience of OFSTED - Desirable
H) Assessors/Verifiers Award D32/34 / A1- Desirable
I) Experience of delivering work-based training - Desirable
