Residential Conveyancing Compliance Lawyer

A new role has become available for a suitably experienced Residential Conveyancing Compliance Lawyer to join our clients. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the individual will be a highly experienced, technical residential conveyancer or will have experience of dealing with compliance in a residential conveyancing firm. This is a new position that has been created due to exceptional company growth. As a CLC licenced firm, our client adheres to rigorous standards. You'll form part of a busy compliance team assisting with a variety of tasks to ensure that the highest levels of compliance are maintained at all times!

About the role

• Ensuring ongoing compliance with current regulations and CLC requirements

• Dealing with PI insurance notifications and claims

• Complaint handling

• Monitoring the Compliance Inbox

• Assisting with risk and compliance-related queries and escalations from all departments

• Ad hoc problem solving

• Involvement in complex ongoing transactions

• Assisting with aged/complex WIP with the Registrations Team

• Assisting with lender panel management and protecting panel status

• Identifying new and emerging areas of risk

• Identifying changes and improvements to systems and procedures as a result of claims, complaints, audits, and risk reviews

• Assist with mentoring and training junior members of the team About You:

• Demonstrable technical ability as a residential conveyancer

• Experience in dealing with complex conveyancing transactions

• Capable of managing a varied workload whilst adhering to deadlines

• Ability to balance risk-based decisions with commercial awareness

• Experience in complaint handling

• Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills

• Understands process-driven working methods
