A Global Investment Bank are currently looking for a Middle Office Analyst - Rates to support their trading teams, this is a contract role until the end of March 2022, the daily rate for the role is £250 per day via an Umbrella and it is based in the City of London with home work 3 days a week.

1) Ensure proper booking in Front Office systems
  • Validation of manual bookings in Front Office systems (manual bookings)
  • Ensure exhaustiveness of daily captures
  • Ensure exhaustiveness of Term-sheets sent to other Middle Office Transversal teams


2 ) Post trade Management
  • Modifications in Front Office systems of non-economical fields or with specified management rules
  • Investigation & follow-up on breaks and requests sent by other Support Functions e.g. FO/BO breaks
  • Events: Early terminations, Novation
  • Supervision of exercises and expiries of trade options


3) Monitoring & Control
  • Break clause, Call and Exercises
  • Mandatory Clearing Process
  • Technical Counterparty
  • Mark-to-market discrepancies
  • Fixings issues (missing or incorrect)
  • MO Reconciliation pending requests
  • Collateral reporting on a weekly basis


4) Other duties
  • Reporting
  • KRIs & KPIs
  • Support for FO (reporting, monitoring, etc...;)
  • Ensure the controls and procedures are developed to support the business and reduce operational risk

Experience

For this role you will have middle office experience, experience of interest rates, knowledge of technical products , reconciliations and extracting data, ideally good VBA/Excel skills, and being French speaking would also be advantageous
