Salary: £35,000 - £38,000

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

The Position:

You will be responsible for the strategy and execution of the daily marketing emails and lifecycle and targeted/segmented campaigns. In this role you'll be expected to manage a team of two within the email marketing department as well as work with the wider marketing team to identify, prepare and deliver appropriate and engaging content and marketing messages to their target market groups. With the primary goal is acquire, retain and convert customers. You will be reporting to the Marketing Director

Key Responsibilities:

* Take ownership in planning and managing high-volume, segmented email marketing campaigns, identifying target audience and growing our email list
* Develop and create a comprehensive customer communication across all lifecycle stages of the customer journey
* Lead strategy on segmentation to identify insights and target customers via personalisation
* Managing a team of two as well as working closely with the wider marketing teams to ensure all teams work together in delivering the most up to date offers, promotions, advice and tips to our customer base
* Providing regular, detailed campaign reporting on all Commerce CRM activities
* Responsible for all aspects of the email marketing process, including planning, briefing, amendments, testing, sign off, and deployment
* Create and send a busy schedule of email campaigns - including design, drafting copy, pulling target lists, loading into our fulfilment system
* Create email strategies aligned with customer life cycle stages (acquisition, current, retention and win-back)
* Ensure emails adhere to email best practice regarding links, content, deliverability, device optimisation
* Monitor performance of campaigns and provide reports to identify trends and actions to drive performance
* Ensure prompt and accurate communication with customer to minimise unsubscribes
* Grow and maintain our email list organically
* Ensure emails are GDPR compliant
* Manage relationships with our Email Service Provider

The Candidate:

* Proven experience in email marketing within an e-commerce business - preferably within the health sector (preferred experience with Emaysys)
* Technical experience using a CRM or third-party software for Email Campaigns
* Hands on experience with HTML and technical aspects of email campaigns
* Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
* Analytical skills with an understanding of key email marketing KPIs and an ability to use data to drive decision making (experience using Excel and Google Analytics is preferred)
* An eye for design is a necessity in this role as well as experience in Photoshop
* Ability to use your own initiative and share ideas
* Process oriented with an aptitude for building out workflows and communication schedules in line with the customer behaviour
* Understanding GDPR and Privacy legislation
* Team player, hard-working with can-do attitude
