  • Up to £44,000 base salary (PRO RATA) + competitive company benefits (not for profit organisation)
  • FTC role until March 2022
  • Mixture of work from home and office working (1-2 days a week)
  • City, London location

My Role

The role holder will be responsible for building and maintaining effective working relationships with Operational Partners to support the required service delivery and resolution of any issues impacting the services. The role holder will be expected to participate in procurement activity and resolve operational queries.

My Priorities - what I will deliver
  • Provision of specialist support and advice in order for the Outsourced Partners to deliver the services the organisations' requires.
  • Contributes to organisation wide projects using specialist knowledge and/or lead short term projects.
  • Carries out detailed assessment and analysis of issues and problems, using specialist knowledge to identify and recommend appropriate solutions

Service Management

The role holder is responsible for supporting the 'day to day' managing of Operational Partners, having regard to the value and risk to the organisation of each contract:
  • Ensure the organisation and our partners deliver on all contractual obligations
  • Embedding an agreed approach to the management of the contract
  • Developing operational relationships with the Partner
  • Undertaking formal governance activity
  • Participating in audit activity to ensure risks associated with the contracts are managed and controlled
  • Planning and facilitating the mobilisation of internal and external resources to support the services
  • Seeking opportunities to deliver cost and/or service benefits to the organisation or its customers and ensuring that the Partners provide value for money
  • Ensuring that appropriate contractual governance arrangements are embedded across all Operational partners and that all procurement rules are adhered to
  • Supporting Operations teams in developing, scoping and recording of the business requirements for future procurement opportunities

My Knowledge - what I need to know

Knowledge and Skills - essential
  • Experience of working with external suppliers to deliver agreed performance levels
  • Operational experience of managing external relationships
  • Experience of reading and understand contract terms

  • Knowledge/understanding of the financial services sector and/or Public sector procurement principles
  • Excellent written skills
  • Good understanding of claims processes and performance management
