Job Description

A well-established family run logistics business requires a Bookkeeper. Core duties include maintaining financial records, preparing tax returns, and overseeing the financial health of the company. Preparing financial statements for review by the company's accountant and undertaking all other functions.
  • Control of Purchase ledger, inputting invoices
  • Credit Control
  • Monthly Management Accounts
  • Job Costing
  • Various monthly Journals
  • Analysis of Nominal Codes
  • Making payments via BACS of Cheque
  • Managing Bank Accounts/Paying Suppliers etc
  • Production and Issue of Invoices
  • Preparing Info for auditors
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Prepare and meet with Auditors
  • Answer day to day/year end account queries
  • Partnership Tax Return
  • Inputting timesheet information to inform Journal
  • Produce Management Accounts in Excel including graphs etc
  • Analysis of figures and report to Partners to achieve efficiencies
  • Monthly Payroll
  • Processing expenses across offices and managing petty cash
  • Assisting in management and running of HR system
  • Annual renewal of insurances, contracts etc

The Successful Applicant

Have previous experience in bookkeeping
