Our strategic planning and research team have one fundamental job, and that's to help make our work better, relevant and fresh.

Working in collaboration with our Creative, Business Leadership (also known as Account Management) and Production teams, we ensure that the agency's creative output is always as relevant as it is effective, and that customer understanding is demonstrated at every stage of developing marketing campaigns for clients.

Through research, and gut instinct our planning and research teams decode culture, industry sector and people to provide inspirational and practical insight for our creative teams and a compelling business case to clients. They will also pinpoint that pivotal role for how marketing can help solve business problems.

In this internship you will be tasked with learning about our clients' customers, their markets and their place in culture, to help the team create brilliant advertising strategies.

It is important that you develop an understanding of our culture and practices, as well as the roles and responsibilities of other departments, building effective relationships with the wider teams.

You will be responsible for researching client competitor marketing activity and gathering and organising presentation materials. You be involved in reviewing market reports and summarising key findings and helping us identify ideas that stimulate creative thinking.

We have three internships available in the team one is more research and data focused, one is more creatively focused, and the other more focused on how we can use digital technology to enhance customer experience. So there's something for everyone.

If you join us, we'd also love to see you researching creative work beyond advertising. For example, visiting galleries and exhibitions and reporting back with cool new stuff to inspire your team. We'll ask you to source and identify daily news and trends relevant to our client(s) business and build your familiarity of all research methodologies to uncover key marketing opportunities.

This role will be based both at home and in the office, to reflect our hybrid model of working. It is expected you will attend the office for approximately 50% of your working week.

  • In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties as assigned by their Manager from time to time.
BenefitsWe are partnering with Creative Access to provide employability support to all of our Kickstart interns.

Training with Creative Access will take place across three compulsory sessions an induction near the start of each placement, a check-in at the midpoint of each placement, and a transition session near the end of each placement. Kickstart interns will also have an assigned member of the People Team throughout the program that will regularly catch up them, as well as their assigned manager for the placement.

Creative Access will also invite interns to monthly masterclasses, encouraging them to keep in touch with other Kickstart new starters via buddy pairings, each of their induction cohorts and wider Kickstart placements.

In addition, our Kickstart cohort will go through our thorough onboarding process which includes meetings and an induction day where they get a full understanding of all departments and processes across the company.

Our L&D team will also support the Kickstart interns with a variety of workshops and training modules specific to supporting them in their placement.

As a company we also have a 24 hour EAP line that offer free counselling, and a premium account with Headspace that interns will have access to.
