Eden Brown is pleased to be working with a fantastic charity on their Bid Director job vacancy. We are looking for a motivated and talented Bid Director who can make this newly created role their own, building a specialised unit and building on their organisational approach to bid development. The role is responsible for the senior leadership of the charity's work to secure contracts that fund their programmes and other mission critical activities. The Bid Director will play a key part in identifying opportunities nationally and internationally that help them deliver their organisational medium and long-term strategy. You will draw on technical input from across the organisation, ensuring high quality tender submissions, senior copy editing bid responses, and implementing the bid process. You will also oversee the transition from bidding to mobilising contracts, securing knowledge and buy-in during the bid process and building robust handover plans. The Bid Director will report their Executive Director, Strategy and Impact, and will be responsible for building up a small dedicated bid team. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate exceptional technical and commercial writing skills, with a demonstrable grasp of what makes a compelling case, while gathering and producing costing data to enable the Executive team to make decisions. This role also requires an exceptionally strong attention to detail. Other essentials include: * Strong track record of success in bid preparation and tender responses * Project managing bid processes from start to finish, maintaining a bid pipeline and creating winning bids * Experience in the UK public sector of writing and securing large government contracts * Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral * Ability to summarising complex tender information and communicate Whilst the job is listed as office based in London during Covid-19 restrictions this is a home based role with an expectation in the future to attend the office one day a month.
