We are looking to recruit a Health Care Assistant Manager to contribute to the support of patients and carers by the effective management of our Health Care Assistant team within the HOME service ensuring that the care we provide is skilled, compassionate, and individualised supplementing a Multi-disciplinary team approach to palliative care.
You will recruit and manage the Health Care Assistant team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that all team members receive regular contact and appraisals and identify training needs. You will manage the induction of new team members, ensuring that they receive a thorough induction to the organisation and to the duties required in the HOME service.
You will also work as part of the team providing direct patient care undertaking day to day care and support which will include assisting patients with their activities of daily living, carrying out routine duties, participating in agreed programmes of care and following agreed procedures.
The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent and will have significant experience of a palliative care environment in a senior health care assistant or manager role.
You will have a patient centred approach with an understanding of and commitment to multi-disciplinary working and will have experience of supervising or management of a team and will have excellent communication, interpersonal, team working and organisational skills.
You should have a current driving licence with your own vehicle with an ability to travel throughout our district.
