The Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Market Risk Manager to join a highly successful team and assist in the completion of day to day market risk tasks, monitor counterparty risk and be responsible for various approvals across all of the Financial Advisory's business lines.

The Market Risk Manager will also be involved in various exciting project work including, but not limited to enhancing risk reporting, identifying gaps and keeping on top of on-going risk documentation.

The Market Risk Manager will manage and complete the day to day market risk procedures and be involved in higher level decision making.

Monitor risks and ensure compliance with trading mandates along with counterparty risk, escalating any breach of mandated limits on behalf of the Financial Advisory company.

The Market Risk Manager will review regularly produced market risk reports to monitor the compliance of various limits and policy guidelines.

Monitor and manage risk and positions across various Electronic Trading Platforms and ensure any breaches and client related trading issues are dealt with on a timely basis.

Monitor intraday price movements and stay abreast of market developments which could impact the company and / or clients.

Approving cash movements, position transfers, and bullion releases will be tasks expected of the Market Risk Manager.

Work towards streamlining and making more efficient all risk procedures and processes.

The Market Risk Manager will maintain daily reporting and will ensure that daily tasks are completed in a timely basis and within the scope of defined risk management policies.

The Candidate:

Minimum of 3+ years experience in a Market Risk or Counterparty risk related role.

A strong understanding of Commodity Futures & Options, FX, Equities and Fixed Income would be necessary.

An excellent understanding of the various trading platforms (e.g. ICE, CME, PATS, CQG, FFF etc) and the various features and limitations of each.

Perform under pressure in a dynamic environment, with the ability to handle numerous tasks simultaneously, and prioritise.

Able to work as part of a team and individually, with the ability to be self-motivated.

Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to detail.

Strong numerical and analytical skills.
