Finance Director

£120,000 + equity

Cambridge

Dartmouth Partners have been retained by an exciting SME technology business that has just received investment from a prolific mid-market private equity house. The company specialises in manufacturing and selling its patented wearable fitness technology that is poised to disrupt the way we exercise.

The business is based in Cambridge and has achieved huge organic growth domestically and will utilize the investment to expand internationally. A solid hands-on Finance Director is required that can partner with the various stakeholders within the business and combine technical acumen with a more strategic and commercial outlook.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Full oversight the financial and commercial functions across the business
  • Partner with the CEO to bring the strategic vision of the business to life
  • Partner with investors and the CEO on acquisitions
  • Developing and executing an exit strategy for the business in conjunction with investors
  • Cultivating stakeholder relationships internally and externally
  • Take an active role in developing and driving the acquisitions and strategic focus of the organisation
  • Leadership of a small finance team including upskilling current workforce
  • Taking a wider operational remit covering HR & IT
  • Monitor banking activities of the organisation
  • Review and monitoring of statutory accounts & tax position, calculations and filings


Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Significant Experience working within private equity backed businesses
  • Experience working within a wholesale, manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Chartered Accountant or similar qualification
  • Extensive experience in developing relationships with demanding stakeholders
