Our Client a Sports Media Agency, who are experts in digital sports. They are looking to recruit a Social Media Senior Account Manager specialising in Sports Media globally.

They build connections between brands and audiences via elite male and female athletes. They work with talent directing and developing personal brands and leveraging the reach and influence.They pride their approach of telling powerful and engaging stories across multiple passion points and formats.

The Role

We are looking for a social media expert, who is highly organised, a creative individual with a passion for using athletes and sport as a vehicle to create connections with fans and consumers.

Your role as Social Media Education and Relationship Manager will report into the Head of Content and will be split across two key areas of the agency offering, management of athlete's organic social media accounts and delivery of social media education programme within football clubs.

As the Social Media Education lead you will be responsible for planning and delivery of Social Media education syllabuses for Academy players at Premier League football clubs.

Alongside your Social Media education tasks you will also work with a Relationship Management team to manage all social media aspects, across a portfolio of world class footballers from across Europe and the US.

What you'll be doing

Education Programme Management
  • Working with Editorial and Creative teams to create unique and engaging monthly session plans
  • Deliver informative, energetic and engaging one-hour work-shops each month to all players within the education programmes
  • Manage Client relationships, deliver social media reports and schedule in sessions in a timely and professional manner
  • Be on top of platform developments and incorporate relevant topics into syllabus
  • Work with Acquisition team to grow our client list of football clubs

Relationship Management
  • Manage day-to-day relationship and contact with your allocated list of established athletes and their agents, ensuring approvals and feedback are acquired in a timely manner
  • Responsible for channel growth, creative brief writing and story-telling implementation
  • Brainstorming editorial ideas leading to engaging social media content and commercial interest - supporting other Relationship Managers with their athletes as necessary
  • Manage social media data reports; outlining success stories, areas for growth and presentation to athletes and agents


About you


  • 2-3+ years working in social media - responsible for engaging content idea generation as well as implementation + community management
  • Passion for educating young athletes to be successful on social media
  • Confident presenting in front of clients and players is essential
  • Proven track record in development of social media accounts - working with individuals as opposed to only brands would be advantageous
  • Passion for and knowledge of football is essential
  • Ability to multi-task - this role is split 50/50 between education programme delivery and management of more established players' accounts
  • A hands-on attitude across all company departments. A real team player is required
