Meadowfield is a large, outstanding Special School for pupils age 3 to 19 with profound, severe and complex special educational needs. We provide excellent teaching and additional facilities for more than 370 pupils but we also have exciting growth plans, increasing our school size and the range of services we provide. We have recently opened a separate Sixth Form centre on a second site in Sittingbourne and in September 2021 launched our new Specialist College called Ascend.
We are now seeking someone who combines excellence in financial management with the ability to develop and lead a high quality support services team that includes Facilities, Finance, HR, IT and Office Services.
In addition to your senior level experience of sound financial planning and control for a significant organisation-wide budget you will need to demonstrate your ability to think strategically and actively contribute to our longer term school growth plans. Excellence in inter-personal skills together with evidence of role modelling our school values in your team leadership and working relationships are also essential qualities.
Working closely with the Principal and as a key member of our high performing, supportive extended senior leadership team you will make a significant contribution to our continuing success. We serve pupils with profound, severe and complex needs, including autism. The school is comprised of: - Early Years - which includes our Observation and Assessment Nursery called Honey Bees and Reception classes, - IMPACTS classes - for pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, - Extended IMPACTS classes - for pupils who benefit from a more individual-led curriculum, - Subject Led classes - for pupils who benefit from a more academic curriculum - 6th Form - preparing pupils for their next steps
We currently serve pupils from the ages of three to nineteen, and pupil numbers are set to increase rapidly over the next year and beyond as we add more classes.

The Meadowfield Inclusion Development and Support (MIDAS) Centre is our highly regarded inclusion and outreach service which successfully supports over 60 schools and 70 settings across Swale, increasing capacity to meet the needs of pupils with additional needs.
Across the school we have approximately 270 members of staff ranging from class based support staff, teachers, the Inclusion Team, Office and Admin Staff, Site Staff, ICT Department as well as our Leadership and Management Team.
