Functional Skills Tutor/Learning Coach

Permanent role - part time 3 days per week = 22.5 hours per week

Covering Middlewich, Crewe and Macclesfield

Travel within your region between the 3 locations

We are seeking Functional Skills Tutor/Learning Coach

The purpose of the role is to deliver Functional Skills - English and Mathematics entry level to level 2 for 16-19 year olds on the study programme or supported internship


* To Deliver English, Maths entry level to level 2

* To work with a caseloads of learners

* Face to face workshop learning in groups and some on line learning

* To understand and agree with employers, learners and each learners starting point and skills development needs

* Using the companies English and Maths delivery process, to agree a training plan with each learner

* Dealing with learners face to face in the centre in groups, also remotely

* Review progress

* Carry out regular caseload reviews

* Using e-portfolio system

* Ensure evidence for learning, achievement, funding and Ofsted is captured

* Working closely with IQA's on best practice, development needs, providing sampling


Teaching qualifications - minimum level 4

Car owner essential

In-depth knowledge of specifications for Functional Skills and proven work experience in delivering functional skills

Experience of coaching to support learning


* £18,000 per annum + £2,345 per annum guaranteed car allowance paid monthly with your salary = £20,345 per annum
