Service and Development Manager
Do you want to make a real difference to the life chances of vulnerable babies and their families? Are you a passionate and dynamic leader skilled in supporting a small charity to grow and thrive? We are Brighton Parent Infant Psychological Therapy (BrightPIP) and we are looking for a service leader at an exciting time in our development. We are a small friendly organisation looking to become a sustainably funded charity. We believe every baby should grow up feeling safe, secure and loved and we are looking for someone with the passion and talent to grow our service so that we reach all families that need our support. We are looking for an experienced service manager as well as an individual with the skillset required to develop the service. You should have a proven track record in service and staff management at a senior level, demonstrating the ability to meet targets and expand business opportunities.
This is an exciting role where you will be responsible for driving the project forward, working alongside the Clinical Director to develop and roll out parent infant therapeutic interventions for vulnerable families whilst managing performance against contract requirements. We anticipate that the successful post holder will be able to increase the hours and sustainability of their role.
You will need highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to make and sustain partnerships and business relationships across sectors, demonstrating the ability to lead as well as work effectively within a team. You will need to have a high level of written skills to oversee the production of reports and present any other monitoring information as required by commissioners, stakeholders, funders and other appropriately interested parties. Highly competent IT skills and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines is of paramount importance.
BrightPIP became a charity in February 2018 after 5 years as a Community Interest Company. BrightPIP's mission is to provide psychological support to all parents and babies who need this service in Brighton and Hove. BrightPIP is linked to a UK wide project to develop parent infant therapy under national charity; Parent Infant Foundation.
BrightPIP provides an early intervention/prevention service offering direct interventions to parents-to-be and parents and infants aged 0-3 where there is a difficulty in the developing attachment relationship and offers an indirect consultation to frontline professionals (e.g Health Visitors, Midwives, Children's Centre staff and Social Workers). We are a small rapidly growing community based charity, operating from Moulsecoomb Children's Centre. Our team consists of freelance Clinical Psychologists, Psychotherapists, a Mellow Bumps Practitioner, Referrals Co-ordinator and Community Engagement worker.
