Search Consultancy are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant for a client based in Cumbernauld. This temporary role will involve working as part of a small finance team which requires a well-rounded individual with a finance background. Very strong Excel skills and a positive, can-do attitude is also needed to be successful for the position. The main duties will include but are not limited to the following:

Day to day running of multiple company accounts

Weekly bank reconciliations

Processing of Purchase Invoices and ensuring the correct nominal code is assigned to the expense

Reconciliations, including but not limited to, VAT Nominal, Credit Card Bills and Supplier accounts

VAT Returns

Paying PAYE, NI and Pension Liabilities as required

Supplier payment runs

Weekly cash flow reporting for multiple companies

Preparing and Analysis of Monthly and Quarterly income and expenditure reports

Reporting on Profit and Loss report, Balance sheet and Trial Balance ensuring all is as should be

Issuing recharge inter company costs as and when required

Preparation of annual accounts and journals for submission to external accountant

Liaising with external auditors

General management of accounting records ensuring accurate records are kept

Maintaining petty cash

Deducting money from a sub-contractor and pass it on to HMRC

Overseeing accounts for development projects
