My client is a prominent secondary academy looking to recruit a 9 -12 month Academy Finance Manager to cover a period of maternity leave.
Supporting the senior leadership team, this role is chiefly concerned with managing the day to day financial obligations of the school. You'll control all tasks associated with income and expenditure in relation to the school's budget and produce monthly reports for the Head and senior leadership team, as well as providing cyclical statutory information to all relevant external bodies. You'll oversee the small Finance Team, including responsibility for financial controls, reporting, planning and analysis whilst maintaining the high standards across the internal services of the school.
Applications are sought from candidates ideally with professional finance studies (AAT, CIMA, ACCA) or those with school business management qualifications, but overall, experience of working within a similar finance role within an academy or school is deemed of greater importance.
