Role Description

TannerMAP works with pharmaceutical companies to develop and deliver access programs enabling patients with unmet medical needs access to medicines in countries (including the United States) where those medicines are not commercially available. These access programs may be referred to as Named Patient, Expanded Access, Early Access, or Compassionate Use Programs. Medicines in the programs may be provided at a cost or free of charge. Laying the foundation for the launch of TannerMAP was the implementation of a series of innovative programs supplying donated medicines to 30,000+ cancer patients in nearly 80 low- and middle-income countries. With a solid foundation established to support future growth, TannerMAP has been rapidly expanding its portfolio of programs supporting both big pharma and small- to mid-size specialty and rare disease companies. To help drive and support this growth, TannerMAP is seeking a Managed Access Program Manager.

Desired Candidate Profile & Capabilities

· BS or Master's degree

· Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a commercial, medical, clinical, or R&D role with at least 3 of which were as a Project or Program Manager

· Previous experience with the design, setup, and execution of a managed access program

· Clear proficiency in project management skills including ability to develop a project plan, lead periodic review meetings with clients, and hold internal and external parties accountable to meeting deadlines

· Knowledge and interest in oncology or rare diseases

· Basic understanding of the drug development process

· Account management background with a focus on servicing medium to large companies

· Prior entrepreneurial or start-up experience desirable

· Pharmaceutical supply chain knowledge helpful

· Desire to take ownership of an initiative and assume leadership responsibility

· Self-confidence in decision making and comfort taking calculated risks

· Self-motivated with a passion for learning and ability to recognize when something needs to be done and without needing to be told what to do

· Comfort and experience working in a high-paced and high-workload environment

· Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders internally with Tanner and externally with clients

· High attention to detail and a high standard for quality work products

· Highly organized and adept at multi-tasking with a solid track-record of following through on commitments

· Demonstrated history of establishing and delivering high levels of customer service

· Comfort working in a situation where there is an uncharted path forward

· Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Project

· Strong command of the English language including concise, clear, and error-free written grammar

· Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%

Role Responsibilities

· Design and develop managed access programs through collaboration with prospective pharmaceutical company partners including:

o Support in the definition of inclusion/exclusion criteria and other program requirements

o Participate in discussions on overall pricing strategy and implications

o Educate on program regulatory requirements for countries in scope

o Provide input on projected program participation rates

· Support in the development of commercial proposals for managed access program service agreements

· Manage program implementation until fully up and running, including developing and managing a project plan and developing risk mitigation and contingency plans

· Oversee program delivery, manage client relationships, and handle internal and external communication of program performance, including regular client status update meetings

· Develop initial and ongoing program forecast and budget

· Establish high levels of customer service, delivering program specific KPIs and program financial results, and account relationship development objectives

· Troubleshoot and firefight

· Analyze and review prospective program opportunities

· Develop program materials and presentations to support business development or account management activities
