Our client is a business committed to driving our sustainability agenda forward, if you are interested in working towards finding innovative ways to further their sustainability agenda to meet future customer demand and to ensure compliance to current and emerging environmental legislation then come and join their team.

Salary: £35K - £45K DOE

Environment & Sustainability ManagerDuties:

You will manage the development, implementation and monitoring of their sustainability strategy. You will also be responsible for working with the communications and marketing teams to promote their strategies to internal and external stakeholders. You will further develop their management system to maintain certification to ISO14001. The role also requires the daily management of the environment team and providing timely advice and solutions on environmental issues associated with port operations and developments.

Environment & Sustainability ManagerRequirements:
  • Organisation, planning and communication skills are essential - you are responsible for coordinating a variety of projects, ideas and strategies across the port
  • Analytical and creative thinking- critically tailoring cutting-edge ideas to suit the organisation
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, persuasion and influencing skills, to stimulate and manage change at all levels within the organisation - demonstrate strong leadership and influencing skills
  • Establish effective networks, both internally and externally
  • Be able to be on 24 hour call out on a rotational basis
  • Be able to undertake business travel domestically and abroad when required
  • Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle
