The Cabot Learning Federation is a diverse Multi-Academy Trust (MAT). We currently operate within the Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset areas with ambitions to grow. We are proud to serve circa 12,500 pupils who all attend one of our eight secondary academies, nine primary academies, an all through provision, a studio school, a discrete Post 16 provision and an alternative provision which consists of one primary and three secondary settings.

What we are looking for:

With a turnover in excess of £86m and employing over 2,000 colleagues this is a significant role which requires a highly talented leader who will lead Federation wide professional services including Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology and Corporate Services, including (by extension) the areas of Property and Estates, Communications, Health and Safety, Business Development, Leisure and Lettings, Governance Services & Projects.

The CLF Chief Operating Officer will play a leading role in the development of organisational strategies which ultimately lead to improving standards in all areas across the Trust through outstanding professional development enabled through effective leadership and tested through the lens of our disadvantaged students. Externally you will positively represent the Trust in a range of forums and media, and will be a key player in ensuring the growth of the Federation.

You will have the ability to create a clear cohesive strategic vision for the Trust's professional services which aligns with educational strategies. You will be an outstanding resilient leader who is able to convert strategy into the delivery of measurable objectives achieved through a professionally diverse and geographically dispersed workforce. You will not necessarily have domain expertise in all areas you are responsible for, however your outstanding leadership qualities will ensure you lead and deliver effectively across all areas.
