We are currently recruiting for a 2 Communications and Marketing Officers to join a fast paced dynamic team.
This is initially a 4 month temporary role with a view to converting to permanent for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate should have proven experience in developing a range of content and communications (print and digital) for a broad audience. This requires excellent verbal and written skills, the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and have experience of writing about complex subjects for general audiences.
The role will include:
To be the lead contact working alongside researchers to develop a communications plan for the broad promotion and dissemination of their research activity.
To support a strong digital presence through regular production and publishing of content for the web and social media, including using a variety of software and publishing/posting relevant content for defined audiences on a broad range of platforms.
To support the corporate communications team by providing relevant content for a range of media
To develop and implement integrated marketing and communications plans, public engagement plans, organising and delivering on all aspects of communication activity to enhance our reputation in the area
Co-ordinate and deliver a programme of well attended and valued external events that attract policy makers, public bodies, key influencers, funding providers and fellow researchers from across the academic community.
To support academic staff to produce editorial content ranging from thought leadership pieces, blogs, insights and articles for both the web and press (research and trade press).
