JOB DESCRIPTION: Digital Content Producer

Holidays: 25 days per year





Duration:

Post will be on an initial 2 year fixed-term contract, subject to ongoing review with a desire to make sustainable and permanent.





Location:



This post will be based in Hamilton, with South Lanarkshire wide travel and flexibly to work remotely within a blended week.

Job Purpose:

To support the delivery of VASLan mission to;

Empowering individuals and communities to build their

capability and capacity to deliver meaningful change

Help us tell the story, and demonstrate the value of South Lanarkshire's Third Sector by creating engaging video and multimedia content for digital and social channels from start to finish.

To achieve this the post holder will collaborate internally with our Communications and Marketing Officer, and externally with voluntary organisations to deliver upon communications plans and strategies, reporting to the Administration Services Manager as part of the Senior Leadership Team.

You will support the organisations journey to realising our vision and mission, living our values and taking a pivotal role in the delivery of our new strategy by better telling the story. Making the work and support available from the TSI more visible, and creating compelling content of the impact the sector has in our neighbourhoods and communities.







Focussed Responsibilities:



- Advise on our in-house filming and content creation equipment within an agreed budget, making use of the appropriate tools and taking responsibility for their upkeep

- Work with the Management Team to shape your work plan, our campaigns, storyboards and other creative planning ideas

- Plan out projects from start to finish, documenting tasks and resources required

- Produce, edit film and multimedia, using motion graphics where appropriate

- Work with our Communications and Marketing, and IT Systems Officer's to ensure that all content is channel optimised, maximising impact on website, digital and social channels

- Monitor, evaluate and report on progress, both internally to colleagues and externally to stakeholders

- Engage with communities and organisations within the third sector to tell their story.





General Responsibilities:



1. To contribute to developing organisational policy and future planning as appropriate.

2. To represent VASLan as required/appropriate at local and national meetings/events.

3. To champion the expansion of VASLan revised operational model through the promotion of the transformation process.

4. To fully collaborate with colleagues within Administration Services, and importantly the Development / Localities work streams.

5. Commit to staff development, that of yourself and supporting colleagues.

6. Participate in an ongoing staff skills and knowledge share in order to maximise the diverse talents of the organisation.

7. Analyse and report on organisational performance against agreed key performance indicators, analysing dashboards, monitoring and highlighting trends.

8. Provide written reports on progress against agreed actions and key areas of work, where appropriate.

9. Providing VASLan representation at relevant meetings and working with external partners / bodies as appropriate.

10. Carry out all work-related tasks in line with the policies and procedures. To perform other similar and appropriate duties as required.
