An exciting opportunity for a Junior / Mid Python Developer to join one of the UK's leading web performance companies, working closely with clients like Liverpool Football Club, Royal Albert Hall, Ralph Lauren, Ted Baker, Mulberry , London Marathon & Currys.

Our backend technology is used by the eCom tech teams at online businesses to maximise CX and performance ensuring fast and error free journeys for their online customers.

The Role:

Working in python, the role combines code development working alongside highly skilled experts including PhDs – and learning advanced architectural and good agile practise – including our unique ‘Elon Musk’ 5 step approach.

We are committed to your training needs as you progress in the role, and look for a keen desire to learn.

What you’ll be doing:

+ Using Python every day to build on our extensive Engine
+ Expanding your expertise in advanced Agile processes – pair programming, unit testing, CICD, Kanban
+ Solve complex coding issues, coming up with innovative solutions
+ Collaborate closely in your team, learning from the highly experienced senior team members (including PhDs) – daily scrums, regular retrospectives and team sessions
+ SDET / Scratch your own itch: contribute to in-house tools and processes used in your team, to improve team’s effectiveness in testing more thoroughly for less effort
+ Rapidly improve as a developer.

About You:

+ CompSci degree
+ More than 12 months on the job experience of python (or 2 years of other OO languages), and good development practises: pair programming, unit testing, CICD, Kanban, GitHub, PyCharm IDE
+ An analytical thinking approach, with problem solving skills, an eye for analysing situations and spotting patterns and solutions
+ Self management and project management strengths able to 'get things done' + Good communication skills of technical matters
+ Linux, Javascript, SQL, CDNs, cloud computing
