Data Governance Programme Manager
Manchester Based with occasional travel to London
£20 - 25 per hour
6 months + contract
Reporting to the Group Data Protection Officer, the Data Governance Programme Manager will be accountable for managing the Data Governance programme plan across all legal entities of the business to keep the organisation legally compliant for the GDPR and other legislation. The Data Governance Programme Manager will align and oversee deliverable of all controls across the full programme lifecycle ensuring the most effective, timely and appropriate business process solutions are developed (acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality) to fulfil the business requirements enabling the benefits of data control to be realised. Working with all key business plan owners to ensure delivery of controls, meeting key milestones across the Group.

Keeping information safe is really important to the business brand, so the Data Governance Programme Manager will be responsible for reporting any risks and issues from the business as usual programme plan to ensure compliance to the GDPR.
Understanding of risk and putting in place controls to mitigate and reduce it
Ability to design and implement programme plans
Process focused with a clear understanding as to control compliance.
Strong experience of data governance implementation, monitoring and reporting.
Strong experience of data handling controls within a complex data focused organisation.
Strong experience of data control and issues management.
Ability to influence across a stakeholder environment to drive change.
Solid experience of process definition.
Ability to work independently to deliver to deadlines and achieve milestones.
Familiarity with data related legislation such as the GDPR
Commercial experience across complex organisational structures.
Ability to take a strategic approach.
Good communication and analytical skills
Attention to detail and technical aptitude.
