Investment Associate

Global Infrastructure Fund- Core & Core plus coverage

The Firm

Our client is a large global infrastructure investment manager with over $15 Billion AUM, holding investments across the infrastructure sector, including core and core plus strategies. They hold a significant portfolio across the Americas, APAC and EMEA regions.

The Role

The Investment Associate will:

  • Track, contribute to and manage key diligence workstreams by working with advisers and team members
  • Manage development and operation of sophisticated financial models to assess investment opportunities
  • Oversee valuation analysis including identifying key value drivers and financial risks; and
  • Manage the preparation of presentations and reports to clients, the investment committee, and senior executives
  • Work closely with portfolio company management teams and board of directors to shape corporate strategy, and implement value-enhancing initiatives including new capital projects, operational improvements, refinancing and bolt-on acquisitions
  • Review and analyse board materials, business plans and other materials prepared by management teams of our portfolio companies
  • Drive development and maintenance of the financial model and lead periodic valuation exercises
  • Help in the review, negotiation and execution of operational contracts, legal documents and where appropriate, asset level financing alongside management teams

The Candidate

In order to be considered you must ensure that you satisfy all of the following criteria:

  • 2+ years of experience within a leading infrastructure and energy financial advisory, management consultancy or equity investment team. Candidates from Consultancy are encouraged to apply
  • Financial modelling skills with good sense of commerciality, and a strong grasp of valuation principles. Experience gained from buy side, sell side or related corporate finance and financial services roles will be well regarded. Further training/development can be provided if necessary
  • Experience across infrastructure/utilities/renewables/transport/telecoms transactions
  • Possess strong technical skills, especially when evaluating assets
  • Have the ability to think with an investor's mindset and an entrepreneurial personality
  • Additional European languages will be a preference
