Working as a Java Developer/Consultant in Business Agility, you will deliver mission critical, scalable applications on a variety of projects for leading end user insurance companies across Central and South-East England. The work will be varied as you will work in small squads depending on your particular skill set. Our projects vary in length from 3 months to 2 years, allowing you time to build and maintain valuable relationships with clients.
Technically you will use:
- Java 8 and Java 11
- MS-SQL / Oracle
- Hibernate / JPA2
- Spring (core and webflow)
- Soap / Rest design patterns
- CICD & Containerisation
Other technologies you might use include GWT, Kafka, Camel, Talend, spring MVC and Mule.
The team operates in an Agile, TDD environment with daily stand ups, burn downs and retrospectives; you will therefore need to be able to work collaboratively with your squad.
As a Java Developer/Consultant at Business Agility you will get the chance to work on greenfield projects, large integrations, guidewire projects and application development projects. Most of our clients work with cloud technologies (Azure / AWS) and there are also blockchain opportunities.About you
You need to be a great Java Developer and have experience of working within the insurance industry. You need to be able to work well in a team and love what you do every day. If you have the other technologies included above, that is an excellent but not essential

Business Agility does the majority of our work on our client sites across Central and South East England. When we can, you will be asked to work on client site 2-3 days per week (this will vary according to the client's working patterns).
Your base location will be your home
