The Role

As a Technical Account Manager, you will become a trusted technical advisor and custodian for some of our Tier 1 clients in the banking and corporate sectors.

Job Description
  • Partner with selected high-value customers to be a single point of contact for all things technical
  • Build technical and operational relationships with customers but also spotting commercial opportunities to enhance the partnership through solution cross-sell
  • Own client meetings to deliver technical information around change, service issues and how Bottomline's diverse and powerful toolsets can be leveraged within our customer's business
  • Display a calm and focused approach to incident management, ensuring normal operations are restored as quickly as possible
  • Proactively gain a full understanding of Bottomline products and how these fit into individual clients solutions
  • Understand & troubleshoot technical issues to resolve before escalation
  • Provide training on new features and accelerate adoption by outstanding utilisation


Essential Skills
  • Experience in the payments industry and technologies (BACS / CHAPS / Faster Payments / SWIFT)
  • Ability to form excellent technical and operational relationships with clients and collaborate with other internal teams
  • Experience managing select Tier 1 enterprise customers ensuring utilisation of our products
  • Passionate about delivering operational excellence
  • Accelerating customer solutions through knowledge of their business and best practices
  • Calm and logical in challenging situations, including the management of production incidents
  • Technical mindset providing detailed data analysis
  • Experience with methodologies including ITIL and Agile
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
