Purpose of the Job

Monitor automatic network-related alerts and act as first point of contact for network-related issues, clarifying the issue, prioritising, fixing within the guidelines set and escalating as appropriate.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

About T-Tech
  • Resolving reactive issues
  • Monitor the automatic alerts generated, undertaking initial investigation to understand and explain the issue clearly
  • Ensure that the issue is recorded fully and accurately in Autotask
  • Prioritise issues in order of importance and impact
  • Notify team members and/or customers as appropriate
  • Diagnose the cause of the issue in order to identify the most appropriate fix
  • Deploy a temporary/ short term fix if necessary, to ensure quick resumption of service or to prevent further issues for users.
  • Assess alternatives to resolve the issue and deploy the most effective, robust resolution
  • Check that the issue is fully fixed and has not had any adverse impact on any other matters
  • Escalate complex issues, within the timeframes required, giving a full explanation of resolutions attempted
Maintenance
  • Scheduling, managing and checking for Windows patches and reporting recommended patches
  • Apply patches as per the regular schedule agreed with the customer
  • Scheduling and managing application updates and maintenance
Resource Housekeeping
  • Generate disk usage report, detecting any issues and following receipt of correct approvals, perform clean up.
  • Perform disk usage trending and analysis and highlight any future areas of concern in a timely manner
Network and Server updates
  • Assist with firmware updates on servers, firewalls and switches under the guidance of a senior colleague
Information Recording
  • Log client problem issues accurately and fully in service desk system
  • Keep accurate records of time worked on issues in Company's time recording system
Customer Service
  • Interact professionally with customers and colleagues at all times, ensuring that the customer is fully satisfied with the service provided
Personal Development
  • Proactively manage own personal development through passing of partner certification exams and constantly developing technical knowledge through on the job enquiry.
Common Responsibilities
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of T-Tech's operational procedures and Employee handbook and comply with the requirements
  • Work collaboratively with team members
  • Participate fully in company-wide initiatives
  • Undertake other duties as may reasonably requested by management
