For our Engineering team in Oxford we are looking for a Global Pedestrian Protection Integration Lead (m/f/x).

In this role, you will be global responsible for the Pedestrian Protection performance of every NIO vehicle. Ensuring the fulfillment of legal, consumer and internal requirements. You will lead and coordinate the Pedestrian Protection teams working on each project. You will be responsible to define the recipes to reach the performance targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Pedestrian Protection team to achieve performance targets (legal, consumer & internal)
  • Define recipe to reach targets and score strategy based on vehicle to develop
  • Create criteria to design/package team
  • Provide design guidelines to share with package, design & system management teams (SMT's)
  • Evaluate CAS surfaces and provide clear inputs & recommendations at early phase of the project
  • Input to Sub-System Target Specifications (SSTS)
  • Ensure assessment at each virtual & testing phase and reporting status & clear action plans
  • Define testing plan & spare parts
  • Seek for state-of-the-art design & technologies
  • Communicate with consumer and/or legal organizations working groups supporting necessary studies

  • M.Sc. or higher education in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Several years experience on Pedestrian Protection delivering results on time, on target with quality in OEM
  • Knowledge of worldwide consumer & legal requirements
  • Strong knowledge of CAE analysis and CAD
  • Skills to find balance between performance, cost & timing
  • Deep curiosity to understand the product and direct competitors
  • High skills on root cause analysis and problem-solving abilities
  • Good working ethic and team player
  • Willingness to travel
  • Exceptional communication skills in English
