Job Details

This is a Kickstarter Scheme position (candidate must be on, or have applied for, Universal Credit).Your tasks will include generating original copy that is both exciting and creatively attractive.

You will need to be natural writer, ready to expand on your skills and learn from Senior Copywriters in order to flourish.

Often working with an Art Director to develop ideas and concepts, the job requires the confidence to creatively assert your ideas and the passion to sell ideas to peers and clients. Pro-active in approach, and with a genuine understanding of the power of words, the role is very 'hands-on'.

You will develop an understanding of how to write copy which answers a client brief and the ability to build creative and unique ideas. You will also build the confidence to communicate your ideas to others.

Company DescriptionWe are Perfect Storm; the Brand and Cultural Transformation Company. We're independent, we're 8 years old (or 8 years young, as we like to say), and we're about 40 people based out of Old Street in London (usually!).

We've been named one of the World's leading Independent Agencies 3 times, yet we don't actually call ourselves an agency. Because we're quite different to other agencies.

Our purpose is to build and grow brands from which the world benefits. We do this by helping them transform themselves and their category through creating a culture rooted in a greater purpose. We believe the only way to build brands is authentically, from the inside out.

We start with the business; where it is, where it's going and how we can develop the strategies and the execution to bridge that gap, in the minds of the external audiences, customers/ consumer but also the internal audiences, employees, partners, shareholders, the internal culture. Whilst others have since followed suit we were the first to take up this position.

Of course, we do still create 'ads' - for TV, print, digital, etc. Indeed, we were awarded the Best Campaign in the world last year. Creativity of the highest order runs through all that we do.

We have a New Macho division, which works with brands to help them provide a positive representation of men in society. We believe that relaxing the current stereotypes that affect men and masculinity is one of the key components needed to achieve a sustainable gender balance.

We have also recently established another division within our business, Perfect Storm Health, which is looking to transform the pharmaceutical category by re-humanising healthcare.

  • As command of the English language is important we'd like to see your qualification in English.
  • We would also like to see evidence of your creativity; passion project or live work - show us what you can do or have already done.
This is a Kickstarter Scheme position (candidate must be on, or have applied for, Universal Credit).BenefitsFirstly, you'll be working at one of the World's Leading Independent Agencies and the UK's Top 10 Independent Agencies, with an inspiring team made up of the brightest creative and strategic minds in the industry. You'll also have the chance to work on creative communications for some of the biggest and best brands in the world. From global blue chip brands such as PepsiCo, Kraft and Unilever, to household names such as Charles Tyrwhitt and Moet Hennessy to name but a few.

Perhaps more importantly, though, you'll be working for a company with a clear purpose. We exist to build and grow brands from which the world benefits. And it's that purpose you will be contributing to each and every day.

Last, but by no means least, you'll be working within an organisation which values its culture and people enormously. It's what makes us who we are, so we're always looking for like-minded people to join our team. If you think of yourself as bright and curious (tuned-in to the world), passionate, (never settle for 'ok'), and you take your work seriously (but yourself much less so), then you'll get on well here.

And you'll be sure to have a laugh along the way.
