We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer to work on our new Chromium based desktop browser that's shaking up the industry.

About UsThe open secret within the advertising industry is that it's built on exploiting people's data. Gener8 changes that we are a browser that enables people to control and earn from their data by giving them a simple choice Rewards Mode or Privacy Mode.

Following our recent success pitching on Dragons' Den, securing investment from Peter Jones, Touker Suleyman as well as offers from two other Dragons, we're on track for exceptional growth over the next 12 months. We have more than 250k registered users and are growing fast. We're looking for someone to join the team and take on the challenge of building the foundational technology for the business.

About The RoleYou'll be responsible for the desktop browser which forms the foundation of our platform, based on the popular open source Chromium browser. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to make a big impact in a short amount of time for a rapidly growing business.

Working closely with the existing engineering team, you'll be iterating rapidly to deliver the core features of a new product to our customers. Making a more secure, faster and private browsing experience.

Some of the things that you'll be working on include
  • Speed and stability improvements to make us amongst the leanest and meanest browser experiences
  • A shiny, but unobtrusive UI to delight and excite users
  • Creating a CI pipeline to deliver new features and fixes rapidly and without a fuss
  • Owning the development of new browser features from concept to execution
RequirementsThis is the right opportunity for you if you have
  • 5+ years experience with Windows application development
  • Strong C++ development skills
  • Experience writing JavaScript
  • Experience with software development via distributed development teams
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Live within +3/-5 time zones of GMT
