Reporting into the Finance Director and working very closely with the CFO, the Contract Manager will be a pivotal part of our friendly but professional Finance Team. The successful individual in this role will be responsible for all aspects of the recurring contract administration and onward billing. The success points will stem from developing and maintaining best practice approach to use and processing of recurring contracts.

It is likely that you will have experience in a dynamic software business reporting on customer pipeline orders and recurring revenue streams. We are seeking someone who is detail oriented, methodical with an enquiring mind. This is a position that will require you to be relentless and inquisitive with the ability to deal with scale. It's not all work and no play. Our Finance team all have a dry sense of humour and are very collaborative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintenance of all recurring contracts across the UK, US and Australian trading companies
  • Monthly invoicing of all recurring contracts
  • Monthly purchasing and reconciliation of all 'back to back' purchase invoices for hosting provision
  • Manage team responsible for the timely billing of all orders and working with the finance team to ensure revenue recognition is correctly treated
  • Work closely with the pre-sale team(s) to ensure orders are booked correctly
  • Oversight of contract system and maintenance of the product file to ensure constancy with the core ERP system
  • Delivery of the annual price increase and all customer communication of the increase
  • Develop a centre of excellence on Contract process to support the global KCS group

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in a commercial sales or operational role preferably in a software or service industry
  • Experience of managing a team with a broad range of skills and experience
  • Clear understanding of the order to cash process and financial principles
  • Excellent communications skills, with the ability to manage complex multi departmental processes and liaise with external customers
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management capability
  • Project or process management experience
  • Ability to listen to and take other's points of view on board
  • Self-sufficient with the ability to quality check and review own workings
  • IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft office suite and demonstrable ability to understand new systems
  • Hands on and willing to commit to a broad role

Desirable knowledge, experience and technical skills:
  • Degree level education or demonstrable experience
  • IT Literate with the ability to learn new systems
  • LEAN Six Sigma or similar
