This role will be key in supporting ongoing projects, coordinating all parties involved and managing Social Media content. Working as part of the Innovation Services team, you will build and maintain relationships with potential, new and existing customers of our campus to promote the impact of Innovation Services work.

Bruntwood SciTech owns and manages the largest portfolio of science and technology campuses in the UK with 10 campuses across Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Cheshire, Birmingham, and Cambridge, including prestigious locations like Manchester Science Park, Alderley Park and Innovation Birmingham. Bruntwood SciTech creates the environments and ecosystems that companies in the science and technology sector need to form, collaborate, scale and grow; including world-class office and lab space, a range of scientific services and specialist, tailored business support, along with connections that offer unrivalled access to finance, talent, markets and mentorship.

The role will be a 2 year FTC.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead campaigns for all Innovation Services projects
  • Lead communications between various departments and organisations
  • Manage the social media content and creative output
  • Engage in social media presence creation on new and emerging social media platforms or through new groups and forums
  • Entering and managing data in Innovation Birmingham's Salesforce system, keeping track of progress and interactions, ensuring accurate, complete and timely records at all times
  • Maintaining high standards of confidentiality and ensure compliance with data protection and information security standards
  • Helping to build an innovation services community network around Bruntwood Sci-tech Birmingham
  • Undertake communications and marketing tasks for Innovation Services
  • Coordinate the activity of the freelance/sub-contracted events and comms personnel who we may engage to deliver on some communications activities
  • Update our newsletters, blog and website
  • Help to promote customers' successes by amplifying them to the whole community

What we're looking for:

  • Strong organisation skills, with previous experience of managing administrative project work
  • Proactive attitude with a mind-set of wanting to learn new skills and support new processes
  • Solid grasp and interest in Social Media and content creation
  • An understanding of marketing would be advantageous
  • A knowledge of the Digital Tech industry or a passion for this would be advantageous
  • Flexible and creative approach, with the ability to multi-task and support a wide range of tasks
  • A collaborative approach with a keenness to build relationships
