Reporting to the Head of Engineering of our Industrial Process and Emissions (IP&E) Business Unit, this is a super opportunity for a talented Senior Electronics Engineer to join Servomex. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining embedded electronics systems and associated software.

About the Opportunity:

  • Develop Embedded Systems for a range of gas sensing products sold globally
  • Low noise analogue design
  • Embedded processor design including ADCs & DACs
  • Write Software in C and C++
  • PCB layout
  • Work in a Multi-disciplinary team of Scientists, Electronics/Software Engineers, V&V Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers
  • Be actively involved in full product lifecycle from requirements to release.
  • Prototype and test hardware
  • Develop unit tests for created code
  • Hardware/Software Integration
  • Ensure all work is highly robust with high availability
  • Actively contribute to a supportive, ethical work environment
  • Ensure code is aligned with the company coding standard.
  • Work to existing quality and technical standards and processes whilst supporting continuous improvement

About You:

Essential Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Solid and proven experience in a related and relevant industry role
  • Competent with EDA tools (such as CADSTAR or others)
  • Experience and confidence with DFx, DFMEA and other design tools
  • Good coding skills in C and C++
  • Knowledge and extensive experience of an RTOS such as ThreadX, Unison, QNX, Integrity etc.
  • Flexible, tolerant, multi-tasking attitude when working under pressure
  • Tenacious problem solver
  • Confident working with minimal supervision
  • Good, proactive communication skills

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Design and coding of STM processors
  • EMC testing
  • Familiar with design for Hazardous Area (IEC 60079)

Essential Education:

  • HND level technical qualification (or equivalent)

Location: Crowborough, East Sussex, UK. (Relocation considered for the right candidate) - some remote working possible for the right candidate

Job Type: Permanent

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (Flexible start & finish times)
