Job Summary :

As Digital Marketing Assistant, your role is to support the Social Media & Design Executive in managing our Social Media presence, and supporting the Digital team in promoting Gretna Green as both a brand and destination - as well as the UK leader in destination weddings - to both domestic and international markets using digital marketing techniques.

The role will include a mixture of day, evening and weekend shifts, but the flexibility to support holiday cover and additional ad-hoc daytime hours would be an advantage.

Main job activities:
  • Responding to social media and forwarding enquiries/leads to the relevant departments in a timely manner
  • Engaging with followers via liking, sharing and responding to comments and posts
  • Ensuring that all social reviews are responded to and actioned via the relevant department if required.
  • Engaging with customers on-site across our business to grow our digital content
  • Collating content, imagery and proof-reading
  • Assisting with researching, collating and producing web content
  • Supporting the Management team with events when required
  • Videography and Photography
  • Providing cover and/or additional support during busy periods and annual leave
  • Supporting the digital team with research and implementation of key yearly marketing campaigns
  • Supporting the Head of Digital & Data with other key projects when necessary

Required skills include:

  • Customer service experience
  • Clear and articulate written/verbal English
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy (proofreading)
  • Sociable, outgoing and approachable personality
  • A flexible, agile approach to work and the ability to react quickly and excel in a fast-paced environment

Desirable skills include:
  • Previous experience in managing social media
  • Google Adwords Certification
  • Google Analytics Certification
  • Basic Photoshop and/or design skills
  • Experience in working with targets
  • Copywriting/blogging abilities
