The Opportunity

The Financial Controller will be responsible for developing a best in class finance function to support the rapid growth of the business. You will act as business partner to the CFO, supporting on a range of key internal projects, while working with external accountants to manage all routine financial activities. This role would suit a commercial Financial Controller who has strong technical accounting skills but also enjoys understanding the story behind the numbers.

What you'll do

As Financial Controller you'll be responsible for all aspects of the company's day to day finance activities, including but not limited to:

Working with external accountants to:
  • Maintain company ledgers
  • Produce monthly management accounts
  • Prepare corporation tax and VAT
  • Make statutory filings
  • Design, implement and maintain efficient and robust group-wide financial policies, controls, processes and systems
  • Management of group-wide budgeting and forecasting
  • Manage payroll
  • Maintenance of company records
  • B&D tax credit claims
  • Ownership of accounting software/systems, including design and implementation of automated systems for invoicing and credit control
  • Management of the annual audit process


Required knowledge and skills
  • Must be ACA / ACCA qualified
  • Experience managing accounts at a group level in a fast growing company, preferably VC backed
  • International experience scaling a finance function into multiple geographies
  • Experience in practice working with a range of companies is a plus
  • Excel skills
  • B2B SaaS experience is a plus
