This is a Kickstarter Scheme position (candidate must be aged between 16-24 and on, or have applied for, Universal Credit).The role of E-Commerce Executive comprises several roles & responsibilities in the business, which will give the successful candidate a great opportunity to experience the wide array of business processes required to operate a rapidly growing start-up direct-to-consumer brand.

The responsibilities of this role will include the following
  • social media management
  • website/product management
  • pre-sales customer service (post-sales is managed by our dedicated Customer Service Manager)
  • design & digital marketing (email marketing, SEO & social media advertising).
Each of these elements will initially be entry-level, but once the kickstarter has been trained in each area & feels comfortable, they will be trusted with increased autonomy to manage their departments how they see fit & be encouraged/supported to be creative in the pursuit of improving the company's capabilities in each area. As the business grows, the successful individual will also be given the opportunity to specialise in & run a select number of the responsibilities, delegating the other tasks to future employees.

The role will be working under the Managing Director & will involve working alongside our manufacturing team, customer service manager, designers & digital marketing manager.

RequirementsThe successful candidate must have a keen interest & grasp of social media, with the ability to spot trends & articulate how You Turn Neon can capatalise on these in their own marketing. They must be comfortable with using the tools available on Instagram & ideally also TikTok & Pinterest.

They must have an eye for good design & ideally have experience using Canva (or a similar graphic design software tool).

Customer service & some form of sales experience is preferred. This role includes lots of email communication with potential customers & so the individual must be comfortable & proficient at writing friendly emails to customers with the main goal of selling them on our products.

As there are many hats to wear in this role, the successful candidate will be very organised & able to manage their time effectively to ensure they meet the goals of each area.

While they will be supported in this role, they must also show initiative to think on their feet & be creative in each of these areas. Not afraid to challenge & improve the existing way of doing things.
