The Role

Protect Lloyds by ensuring appropriate cyber security is applied across our infrastructure with emphasis on technical expertise, the use of security tools and associated processes.

The Security Analyst is a member of the IT Security Team and reports to the IT Security Manager


For this role the emphasis is on Server & Client security and the following accountabilities are core to the role:
  • Ensuring Anti-Malware and Endpoint Detection and Response tools are up to date and working effectively across client types and server estate
  • Appropriate hardening of end-user devices, server estate and collaboration platforms
  • Ensuring the effectiveness of controls in the end user environments
  • Familiarity of security configuration M365 Suite / Adobe Suite / Java (client and server) and similar

The role will also involve a working knowledge of the following technical areas: -
  • Network security
  • Cloud security
  • Vulnerability Management & Threat Intelligence

  • Ability to analyse data and appropriately prioritise tasks considering criticality and urgency
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise responsibilities to meet business needs.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate clearly on security topics to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Motivated to delivering quality and striving for continual improvement.
  • Logical thinking and analytical ability.
  • Aptitude in solving problems independently.

  • Knowledge of security configurations for Windows computing, and collaboration platforms (MS Teams / SP Online etc, One Drive etc.
  • Good working knowledge of industry good practice frameworks such as NIST Cyber Security Framework and Cyber Essentials Plus
  • Any knowledge of MacOS security configuration would be advantageous

  • Implementing and maintaining secure configurations for end-user computing, server OS, collaboration platforms and 3rd party application suites
  • Reporting against key performance indicators and service level agreements
  • Experience of working in high performing teams and understanding the dynamics of teamwork in an infrastructure and operations environment
