Head of UI/UX
I am looking for a Design Director / Head of UI/UX with experience of delivering great digital product designs who is keen to lead a small team for an agency with an impressive range of financial services, not for profit, media and FMCG customers. Based in St Albans, Hertfordshire (21 mins on the train from London - remote during the pandemic and then 1-2 days in the office) you'll work as a Digital Director / Head of UI/UX focused on leading design activities, representing design in customer pitches and delivering quality work.
My client prides itself on building solutions that drive value and ROI for it's customers so it is expected that you can provide hands on knowledge and direction across experience, UI/UX and visual design, as well as strategy and execution. As the Design Director / Head of UI/UX you will be product / SaaS (software as a service) focused rather than campaign focused and be able to demonstrate previous examples of delivery using content management systems / CMS, ecommerce, marketing technology or digital experience platforms / DXP.
As well as the digital design skills, as the Design Director / Head of UI/UX, you will be able to demonstrate evidence gathered from research and be able to work with business analysts, front end developers, solutions architects and project managers in order to make designs and products viable and successful.What it would be great for the Design Director / Head of UI/UX to have:

- Proven experience as a Design Director, Head of UI / UX or similar
- A background in digital product design utilising experience, UI/UX and visual design
- Ability to communicate and demonstrate effectively to customers
- Experience utilising content management systems / CMS, ecommerce, marketing technology or digital experience platforms / DXP
- The keenness to look at strategy as well as being responsible for execution
