Here at Bulletproof, an innovative and expanding Cyber Security specialist, we are looking for a Graduate/Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join our small finance team based in Stevenage. The main focus of this role will be to effectively manage and control all accounting and reporting deadlines for two entities, as well as managing the administration process behind all group monthly payroll outsource arrangements. Reporting to our Financial Controller, this business facing role requires a confident, hands on approach and commitment to task management and delivery. With a salary of up to £27,500 per annum, an overview of the main duties has been provided below:
  • Ensure the General Ledger is maintained in line with appropriate timescales;
  • Support the Financial Controller with running the month end close process, locking off all ledgers and finalising Trial Balance for the Financial Controller;
  • Collate, communicate and validate all monthly payroll administration to our outsourced payroll vendors in line with deadlines;
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of budgets and forecasts, including preparing high quality analysis and meaningful comparisons to budget;
  • Produce detailed analysis of group overheads on a monthly basis and support the Financial Controller with controlling budgets and understanding trends;
  • Identify, calculate and analyse trade and overhead accruals and prepayments including accrued and deferred income and costs;
  • Ad hoc projects, task and duties as required by the CFO and Financial Controller.


PLEASE NOTE - this role will require you to be in the Stevenage office 5 days per week

Experience and Skillset required:
  • Degree educated in Finance/Accounting/Business or relevant equivalent experience;
  • Part qualified or studying towards a formal Accounting certification;
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills - knowledge of look-up tables and macro's are essential;
  • Experience of managing outsourced arrangements an advantage, but not essential ;
  • Experience in using Xero is advantegous;
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Flexible approach to work with differing tasks;
  • Professional approach to confidentiality;
  • Enthusiastic with a can do attitude;
  • Must be able to work on their own initiative and also be a team player.
