Software Engineer ( Cwmbran/Doncaster, UK )Software engineer to lead embedded software development of next generation fire products and digital systems for diverse product range of circa 100 SKUs all to be completed within agreed project timescales.

Your key deliverables:Utilising soft skills such as influencing, strategic vision and innovation mindset the role will focus on the software development of next generation products to support the current and future roadmap of the fire product platform. The candidate is expected to have experience in the majority of the aspects listed below:
  • Embedded C, C++ & PIC programming.
  • Communication Protocols (I2C, RS485, CAN, Ethernet).
  • Software Documentation.
  • Microprocessor Experience(8/16/32 bit).
  • Microprocessor Peripherals Experience (ADC, PWM, UART, SPI, COMPARATORS, TIMERS, etc).
  • Electronics Appreciation.
  • Software Design Tools (Version Control Management, PCLint, Doxygen, etc.
  • Debugging / Unit Testing / Fault Finding Skills.
What we are looking for:Education required: A degree in related area is desired.

Experience required: Have knowledge and experience of working in a similar role previously.

Technical knowledge: Embedded software development over a complete lifecycle from inception to end of life cycle.

  • Technical leadership.
  • Passion for development and new technology.
  • Leadership and be able to provide mentoring to others.
