About Us

Our product range is extensive, offering natural and organic ingredients and a range of cosmetic bases to the cosmetics, toiletries and personal care markets in addition to its bespoke range of botanical extracts. The products are supplied directly from our manufacturing and warehousing facilities in the UK.

Job Purpose

To lead the improvement of Inovia product quality to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and compliance to GMP, ISO22716 and ISO13485. Introduce changes to processes and procedures and development of people to reduce the Total Cost Of Quality through the reduction of labour, scrap and rework costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • To improve product quality in line with the requirements and expectations of our customers and ensure that we meet or exceed the standards expected within our industry
  • To develop processes and procedures that lead to the improvement of product quality whilst maintaining compliance to all relevant standards and regulatory requirements including GMP, ISO22716 and ISO13485
  • Accreditations include Cosmetic ISO22716, Medical Devise ISO14385, Organic Standards and BRC.
  • To reduce the total cost of quality through the development of people and reduction of waste, scrap and rework
  • To introduce measures, metrics and controls to manage and monitor improvements
  • To lead, develop and motivate a team of Quality Technicians to reach the highest standards of performance within the shortest possible timescale
  • Provide GMP training and guidance to the workforce to ensure standards are maintained and focus to improve quality and reduce costs becomes engrained in our culture
  • To work with the supplier and customer base to drive improvements in quality and control of goods to ensure right first time delivery


Key Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience of lean manufacturing techniques in the cosmetic industry or medical devises
  • Knowledge of various problem solving techniques (5 Why's, 8D, DMAIC, FMEA etc)
  • Ability to drive towards root cause identification and demonstrated experience of implementing permanent solutions.
  • Fully conversant with the requirements of GMP, ISO22716 and ISO13485
  • Strong analytical ability and advanced IT skills (especially MS Excel) including pareto, control charts, flow charts, ishikawa etc
  • Knowledge of process control techniques (SPC), AQL monitoring etc
  • Effective communicator at all levels
  • Ability to lead, motivate and influence a team
  • Managerial experience including managing performance and personal development
  • Good organisational skills (knowledge of 5S an advantage)


Education and experience:

Essential:
  • Experience of working in cosmetic/medical industry
  • Professional qualification in a Quality related discipline
  • >5 years experience in a Quality function within a high volume manufacturing environment


Desirable:
  • Educated to ONC/HNC in a Technical or Manufacturing discipline
  • 6 Sigma Green belt or above
  • Health & Safety qualification (IOSH, NEBOSH)


Salary up to £45K depending on experience
